We have formed a patient group in 2011 which is to give the patients the opportunity to discuss topics of mutual interest in our practice.
The group comprises of the Practice Manager and a mix of patients who have offered to serve in the group.
The group is representative of different ages, sexes and ethnic make up of the surgery.
If you would be interested in joining the group please contact the Practice Manager Sandra Clapham at the surgery
Their aim is to provide the means for patients to make positive suggestions about their own healthcare and the practice.
They act as a representative group that can be available to influence local health and social care.
We hope that there will be positive suggestions from the group about the practice and patients own healthcare.
Last year as well as questions about appointments & the surgery they introduced questions regarding the out of hours services & the use of the new NHS 111 number.
The information was greatly received by patients as it brought their attention to the number.
This year is the third patient questionnaire that has been created by the group.

Patient feedback from 2015 onwards has been through the Friends & Family survey, click here for more information.
We had a PPG meeting in August 2015 where we spoke about previous surveys and the questions for the next practice patient survey.
Our last PPG meeting was in April 16, we looked at the results of our last survey, the results are showing our practice higher than the local average. The group were happy with the results.
We spoke about the new Friends & Family survey that we have available at the surgery and on our website.
Dr Sharma joined the meeting and we spoke about the surgery trying to relocate to another site, however we are still waiting for NHS England & NHS property services to agree the move.
We spoke about patient access on line where patients can view their medical records, make an appointment on line and order medication. We are asking for photo ID to allow access to this service.
Below you will find the results of the 2015 questionnaire, which we have split between Doctors and Nurses, also comments made by patients.
At our next PPG group we will be looking at the questions for our next patient survey.
