Meningitis B Vaccine

We are aware of concerns about a potential Meningitis B outbreak; however, we have not received updated guidance from NHS England.

The MenB vaccine is only routinely available to infants as part of the NHS schedule and is not offered to children over 1 year old.

Exception:
If you have received a letter from NHS England advising vaccination:

  • You may be eligible
  • You must bring the letter to your appointment
  • The nurse must verify this before the vaccine can be given

We are unable to provide the vaccine outside of this guidance.

GP earnings

All GP practices are required to declare the mean earnings for GPs working to deliver NHS services to patients at each practice.

The average pay for GPs working in Wimbledon Medical Practice in the financial year 2018/2019 was £50,000 before tax and National Insurance.

During that financial year the practice had 4 salaried GPs, who worked in the practice for more than 6 months.
