Meningitis B Vaccine

We are aware of concerns about a potential Meningitis B outbreak; however, we have not received updated guidance from NHS England.

The MenB vaccine is only routinely available to infants as part of the NHS schedule and is not offered to children over 1 year old.

Exception:
If you have received a letter from NHS England advising vaccination:

  • You may be eligible
  • You must bring the letter to your appointment
  • The nurse must verify this before the vaccine can be given

We are unable to provide the vaccine outside of this guidance.

We are a long established medical practice since 1929.

Following the introduction of the National Health Service, there were initially two surgeries, one in Haydons Road and one in Queens Road. The partnership moved to the premises, 51 Princes Road, some 40 years ago.

In November 2018, the practice changed location to 79 Pelham Road and became known as the Wimbledon Medical Practice.
